Airbus A380 Will be at Oshkosh

It has been officially announced that the biggest passenger aircraft in the world will make its airshow debut at Oshkosh Airventure. The airliner will make a demonstration flight at the beginning and end of the week and will be on static desplay througout the show. This will be the biggest aircraft to ever land at Oshkosh.

Words for the Wise

Here are some cleaver aviation sayings:

A "good" landing is one which you can walk away from. A "great" landing is one which lets you use the airplane another time.

A good simulator check ride is like successful surgery on a cadaver.

Good judgment comes from experience. Good experience comes from someone else's bad judgment.

An airplane may disappoint a good pilot, but it won't surprise him.

Learn from the mistakes of others...you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Things which do you no good in aviation:
- Altitude above you.
- Runway behind you.
- Fuel in the truck.
- Half a second in history.
- Approach plates in the car.
- The airspeed you don't have.

Zodiac Aircraft to be Grounded

The FAA is being urged to ground the Zodiac CH-601XL homebuilt two person aircraft. 10 people have been killed in the Zodiac in the past 3 years as a result of "flutter." This plane has all ready been grounded in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, it is only a matter of time before the United States follows suit. It is thought by some to be one of the most dangerous aircraft known to general aviation. Read the full story here:

New Rule for Obese Flyers Causes Controversy

This week United Airlines anounced that obese passengers who can not fit into a single seat will have to buy two tickets. This means that they can also be bumped from a full flight that does not have the extra room. Some overwieght travelers feel that this is unlawful discrimination, but in the U.S. there are only rules preventing discrimination againsed people with disabilitys...
